Subaru Sponsors of "Parks and Recreation Reunion Special," a charitable telecast

Back in April, Subaru of America announced they, along with the Subaru network of 633 retailers nationwide, will continue their commitment to supporting people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic by helping to provide 50 million meals to Feeding America®. Now, Subaru of America has furthered their support to Feeding America®, by sponsoring NBC and Universal Television’s charitable telecast “A Parks and Recreation Special,” and will match consumer donations, up to $150,000, to benefit Feeding America®’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
 

Matching donations from State Farm®, NBCUniversal and the writers, producers and cast of “Parks and Recreation,” a combined total of $500,000 in matching donations, will be made through May 21. Funds raised from the telecast will go directly to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, allowing food banks to secure the resources they need to serve those most effected by the virus. "A Parks and Recreation Special” is set to air Thursday, April 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. 

Subaru’s sponsorship of the “Parks and Recreation” special follows its significant partnership with Feeding America to help provide 50 million meals to people most impacted by COVID-19. As the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a nationwide network of 200-member food banks, the automaker, along with its retailers, is providing crucial assistance to help communities hit hardest by the pandemic get back on their feet.

Four Subaru Models Earn PARENTS "20 Best Family Cars of 2020" Award

Subaru announced today that the 2020 Ascent, Crosstrek Hybrid, Forester and Legacy earned spots on PARENTS 20 Best Family Cars of 2020. PARENTS awards the accolade based on NHTSA crash-test results, as well as the magazine’s own evaluations from a certified child passenger safety technician and road tester.

In evaluating vehicles for its 2020 awards, PARENTS considered passenger cars, SUVs, crossovers and minivans that received a 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). For 2020, Subaru tied for most IIHS awards earned by an individual brand which includes 2020 Ascent, 2020 Crosstrek Hybrid, 2020 Forester and 2020 Legacy. 

PARENTS used a certified child-passenger safety technician to test the installation of an average-size infant seat, convertible seat, harnessed booster, and backless booster in more than 50 contenders. PARENTS’ auto reporter road-tested vehicles that passed the seat check to evaluate braking, steering, acceleration, user tech and more.

Subaru Earns KBB's "Most Trusted Brand" for Sixth Consecutive Year

Subaru has been honored in three major categories of the 2020 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards, including Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand and Best Performance Brand. 


With this year’s achievement, Subaru has now won Most Trusted Brand for six consecutive years, in addition to three Best Overall Brand awards and four total Best Performance Brand awards.
