2017 Impreza's Award-Winning Interior Design Beats the Competition

The 2017 Subaru Impreza has further distanced itself among the competition, as it continues to collect more prestigious awards and accolades. The latest accolade bestowed to the Impreza comes from WardsAuto. The Impreza has been named to WardsAuto’s 2017 ‘10 Best User Experience’ list for intuitive and effective interior features.

WardsAuto is a world-leading provider of automotive insights and analysis. They have served the industry's information needs for more than 90 years. The 2017 Wards' ‘10 Best User Experience’ competition pitted the Impreza against 23 other vehicles. The vehicles were tested and rated by editors on their ability to enhance an individual’s lifestyle and make technology easy to use. Key factors included: user-friendly multimedia system and interior controls, effective driver-assist technology, and overall value.

WardsAuto's senior editor, Tom Murphy, had the following to say about the Subaru Impreza, "The Subaru Impreza is the only other vehicle this year winning both 10 Best Interiors and 10 Best UX honors. But the Impreza, with its all-new StarLink infotainment system, makes the cut for a whole lot less money: out the door for under $30,000 in Limited trim.

In addition to an award-winning interior design and driver assist technology, the 2017 Impreza has the most passenger volume in its class. The model is available as a 5-door or sedan and is offered in four trim levels: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Sport and 2.0i Limited.

And of course, the Impreza offers drivers Subaru's industry-leading level of safety and security. The 2017 Impreza earned top ratings in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluations and, when equipped with EyeSight and Steering Responsive Headlights, it is an IIHS 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+.

2017 SUBARU OUTBACK NAMED TO U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT’S BEST NEW CARS FOR TEENS

Perhaps the Subaru commercial, above, best sums up how parents feel when their kids grow up and begin to drive. The commercial shows a father giving driving instruction to his little girl -who, in reality, isn't so little anymore.

As children grow up and begin to drive, many parents think back to when their child took their first baby-steps. Most parents find this transition difficult, as they think back to all the stumbles and falls their child took as they learned to walk - and now they are driving!

There are other statistics out there that make this process even harder for parents. One of those being a study conducted by AAA [1] that states half of teen drives admit to texting while driving.

For all the parents of teen drivers, U.S. News & World Report as recently released their list of the 2017 'Best New Cars for Teens' [2]. This list may help alleviate some of that fear and anxiety.

Not surprisingly, Subaru has made the list! The 2017 Outback was named to U.S. News & World Report’s Best New Cars for Teens for accident prevention and crash protection technologies as well as overall quality.

To be named one of the Best New Cars for Teens, a vehicle must have the best combination of reliability ratings, crash test scores, available advanced driver assistance features and top critics’ recommendations in the U.S. News Best Car rankings in its pricing category.

The 2017 Subaru Outback's proven combination of award-winning safety technology, standard symmetrical all-wheel drive, and exemplary fuel efficiency help the SUV secure its spot on U.S. News & World Report’s Best New Cars for Teens 2017 list.

One of the 2017 Outback industry-leading safety technology features is its Reverse Automatic Braking system. The Reverse Automatic Braking system helps the driver avoid a possible collision when the vehicle is moving in reverse. The system uses four ultrasonic sonar sensors located in the rear bumper cover and can automatically stop the vehicle.

U.S. World News & World Report had the following to say about the 2017 Outback, "Subaru is one of only a few brands that offer a rear automatic braking system, so if your teen backs up without looking, the Outback can stop itself to prevent a collision...It’s hard to argue against the Outback as a top-notch choice for teenage drivers." [3]
