The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek: The Winning Package

Many drivers, in the Tulsa Metro, are looking for a vehicle that is safe, reliable, and versatile. A significant portion of those drivers are finding the perfect combination of features in the Subaru Crosstrek. It's one of our favorite crossovers, here at Ferguson Subaru. Of course, we're a little bias, but don't just take our work for it. Read a few comments from some of our recent Crosstrek shoppers:

"First of all I want to say how awesome and professional my salesperson, Miguel, was in helping me find exactly what I wanted. It’s been a little over a month since I picked up my new Crosstrek. I enjoy driving the Crosstrek more and more every day. I highly recommend Subaru!"
- Ryan M.

"I had a Subaru for 10 years and when it was time to get a new car I knew another Subaru was the right choice for me. I love my new Crosstrek. My salesman, Jeremy, was very helpful explaining all the smart safety features of my new car. Thank you Jeremy and Ferguson Subaru!"
- Maureen M.

"I worked with James on buying my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. James was extremely knowledgeable as well as helpful in the car buying process. I’ve only had my crosstrek for a week now but I’m loving it and getting great gas mileage!"
- Mattias R.

"I love my Crosstrek! Eddie Turner helped me find my forever car, the one that suits my personality and lifestyle best! I had an incredibly smooth transaction buying this car. These guys are the best!"
- Shannon B.

Apart from our praise, and the praise of our customers, industry experts are also singing the tune of the Subaru Crosstrek. The 2018 Crosstrek has recently earned a KBB.com "5-Year Cost To Own" award, and recently earned an "Editors' Choice" award by Car and Driver. [1]

Car and Driver had the following to say about the 2018 Crosstrek, "the Crosstrek’s standard all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance set the stage for adventure."  [1]

KBB.com explained their reasoning for giving their "5-Year Cost To Own" award stating, "from the little things -- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard at every level -- to the big -- standard all-wheel drive -- everything about the Subaru Crosstrek lines up to make it our 5-Year Cost to Own Awards winner. It also doesn't hurt that the Crosstrek maintains its value over time." [2]

2018 WRX & 2018 Crosstrek Earn IIHS 2017 Top Safety Pick+ Award

The 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek, when equipped with optional EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, have received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award. Both the 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek also received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), when equipped with both EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights.

The 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award by achieving the highest possible rating of “Good” in the IIHS crashworthiness evaluations of rear impact, roof crush, side impact, front moderate overlap, and front small overlap, as well as EyeSight receiving a “Superior” rating in the Institute’s front crash prevention testing.

These safety accolades prove Subaru's committed to developing vehicles with the highest safety standards. The Subaru WRX has earned an IIHS Top Safety pick for three years running (2015-2017), while the Subaru Crosstrek is an IIHS Top Safety Pick for six years running (2012-2017).

All 2018 Subaru models with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights have now received the highest possible 2017 safety rating from IIHS. The WRX and Crosstrek join the Outback, Legacy, Impreza, and Forester to have earned the prestigious safety award.

It's Almost Here, the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek!

The redesigned 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is set to debut March 7th at the Geneva auto show. The only teaser photo that Subaru has released hints at a new Crosstrek with a few design cues taken from the XV Concept that was shown during the 2016 Geneva Auto Show; design cues such as a sporty side profile and similarly designed taillights.

Watch the unveiling of the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek at the following web address:

With its outdoor attitude and outstanding ground clearance, the Subaru Crosstrek has become a favorite among our Tulsa-area shoppers; including Rick Couri. Local voice of Tulsa football, Rick Couri, takes his Subaru Crosstrek on fishing and scuba diving adventures

Not much is known about what Subaru's engineers have done to the all-new 2018 Crosstrek. We expect the 2018 Crosstrek will be fitted with Subaru's new global platform underpinning that was introduced on the 2017 Subaru Impreza. The 2017 Impreza was also equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque; which we expect to power the 2018 Crosstrek, as well.

Subaru will undoubtedly continue its reputation for industry-leading safety with the release of the 2018 Crosstrek. The 2017 Crosstrek was awarded a 2017 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS and received the highest rating of five stars for its overall rating by the NHTSA. The 2018 Crosstrek will likely be equipped with Subaru's award-winning Eyesight driver assist system that offers drivers crash prevention technologies, such as: Reverse Automatic Braking, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist function, and lane departure warning.
