2019 Subaru Share The Love Event | Ferguson Subaru

Today marks the start of the twelfth year of the Subaru Share The Love Event. The Subaru Share the Love Event was established in 2008 by Subaru of America as a way to bring Subaru owners together to make a difference in their community.

Subaru and participating retailers [such as Ferguson Subaru] have donated a total of more than $145 million to a variety of national and hometown charities through the Share the Love Event.

The 2019 Subaru Share the Love Event will run from November 14, 2019 to January 2, 2020. During the event, Subaru of America will donate $250, for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased, to a charity of the customer’s choice.

Customers who purchase or lease their new Subaru at Ferguson Subaru, during the event can choose to have their donation go to one of four national charities or one local Oklahoma charity.

The four national charities that can be selected include:
• The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®)
• Make-A-Wish®
• Meals on Wheels America
• National Park Foundation

In addition to the four national charities listed above, Ferguson Subaru customers have the choice of donating to one Oklahoma charity - Hope Is Alive. Ferguson Subaru has teamed up with Hope is Alive for the third year in a row for the Subaru Share The Love Event.

Hope is Alive is a wonderful, life-changing, Oklahoma based non-profit. Hope is Alive exists to radically change the lives of drug addicts, alcoholics and those that love them; to inspire hope, build foundations and change the lives of people affected by addiction.

Hope is Alive provides specialized one-of- a-kind opportunities to men and women who are ready to take their recovery to the next level. Hope Is Alive has rehabilitation homes across Oklahoma (including Oklahoma City, and Tulsa), Kansas, and North Carolina. You can learn more about Hope Is Alive at: hopeisalive.net

Through last year's Share The Love Event, Ferguson Subaru was able to donate over $33,500 to Hope Is Alive!

Ferguson Subaru will donate $50 to Hope Is Alive for every new Subaru purchase or leased, during the Share the Love Event; regardless of if the customer chooses Hope Is Alive as their charity or not.

If a customer does choose Hope Is Alive, Hope Is Alive will receive a $300 total donation - $250 from Subaru Of America [on behalf of the customer] and $50 from Ferguson Subaru. Additionally, for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the Share the Love Event, Ferguson Subaru will donate $5 to Hope Is Alive.

We are proud to partner with Hope Is Alive during this year’s Subaru Share the Love Event to support their work to radically change the lives of drug addicts, alcoholics, and those who love them. Subaru Earns KBB.com's "Most Trusted Brand" Award for Fourth Consecutive Year

More and more people are falling in love with Subaru every day. Why? Maybe it's because Subaru's are built to last. 98% of Subaru vehicles sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today. Maybe it's because Subaru is a leading choice among parents with teen drivers. Maybe it's because Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is no "ordinary" AWD system.

There are many reasons to fall in love with Subaru. Of course, one of the most important reasons drivers are turning to Subaru is because they can trust Subaru. But, real trust isn’t simply given. It has to be earned. For the fourth year, in a row, Subaru has been recognized for their commitment to make safe, capable, reliable and long-lasting vehicles.

Kelley Blue Book has named Subaru has their 2018 "Most Trusted Brand," in their KBB.com Brand Image Awards.

Kelley Blue Book, the leading vehicle valuation and information source, today announced that Subaru of America, Inc. has once again been recognized for outstanding achievement by an automotive brand in the 2018 Brand Image Awards. This marks the fourth consecutive win for Subaru in the highly regarded Most Trusted Brand category.

The Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards recognize automakers' impressive achievements in creating and maintaining brand attributes that capture the attention of the new-vehicle buying public and winners are chosen based on new car buyer perception data. 2018 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards are based on the Brand Watch™ study from Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights. It's Almost Here, the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek!

The redesigned 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is set to debut March 7th at the Geneva auto show. The only teaser photo that Subaru has released hints at a new Crosstrek with a few design cues taken from the XV Concept that was shown during the 2016 Geneva Auto Show; design cues such as a sporty side profile and similarly designed taillights.

Watch the unveiling of the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek at the following web address:

With its outdoor attitude and outstanding ground clearance, the Subaru Crosstrek has become a favorite among our Tulsa-area shoppers; including Rick Couri. Local voice of Tulsa football, Rick Couri, takes his Subaru Crosstrek on fishing and scuba diving adventures

Not much is known about what Subaru's engineers have done to the all-new 2018 Crosstrek. We expect the 2018 Crosstrek will be fitted with Subaru's new global platform underpinning that was introduced on the 2017 Subaru Impreza. The 2017 Impreza was also equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque; which we expect to power the 2018 Crosstrek, as well.

Subaru will undoubtedly continue its reputation for industry-leading safety with the release of the 2018 Crosstrek. The 2017 Crosstrek was awarded a 2017 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS and received the highest rating of five stars for its overall rating by the NHTSA. The 2018 Crosstrek will likely be equipped with Subaru's award-winning Eyesight driver assist system that offers drivers crash prevention technologies, such as: Reverse Automatic Braking, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist function, and lane departure warning.

Check out demonstrations of Subaru's Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Reverse Automatic Braking systems!

All-new 2017 Subaru Impreza Heads to Oklahoma!

From the Hoosier state to the Sooner state, the 2017 Subaru Impreza is on its way! The first all-new 2017 Impreza rolled off the assembly line at Subaru's production plant in Indiana, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA). There are many Subaru fans, including those at our dealership, who have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the all-new Impreza!

The new 2017 Subaru Impreza is the first vehicle built using the new Subaru Global Platform architecture that is designed to enhance driving pleasure, agility, comfort, and safety. The 2017 Impreza is equipped with new driver assist technology, and new multimedia features. As with previous generations, every Impreza is equipped standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a SUBARU BOXER engine. The new '17 Impreza will be available in base, Premium, Sport and Limited trim lines, and is available in sedan and 5-door models.

Best of all, the new 2017 Impreza will be built, right here, in America! The Impreza has historically been produced only in Japan; however, Subaru decided to move the production of the Impreza to the U.S. because of increasing American demand for Subaru vehicles - like eight consecutive years of increased Subaru sales in the U.S!

“In a time when some manufacturers are moving work out of the United States, we’re proud to be bringing Subaru Impreza production to the heartland of America,” said Tom Easterday, Senior Executive Vice President of SIA. SIA is the first U.S. auto plant to achieve zero landfill. By reducing, reusing and recycling, SIA avoids sending any waste to a landfill for disposal.

It's roughly a ten hour drive from Subaru's Indiana plant to our Broken Arrow, Subaru dealership. While we know it won't make a straight shot to Broken Arrow, we can tell you that it is on its way! The 2017 Subaru Impreza is almost here!

Our Pursuit Of Making Knowledge Available To As Many Minds As Possible

Ferguson Subaru is proud to call Oklahoma home. While there is plenty for Oklahoma to be proud about, it's well known that the education system in our state is hurting. According to the National Education Association, Oklahoma ranks 49th in expenditures per student [1] and 48th in average salaries for public school teachers [2]

On top of being paid well below the national average, Oklahoma teachers, on average, spend up to $500 of their own money, each year, on supplies for their classrooms. Needless to say, it's not always easy to be a teacher in the state of Oklahoma.

At Ferguson Subaru we have a Love Promise commitment to making a positive impact in the world in which we live and work. It’s our aim to spread this impact as far as we can. As part of our Subaru Loves Learning initiative - to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible - Ferguson Subaru teamed up with Kendall Whittier Elementary for our 2016 Subaru School Supply Drive.

Kendall-Whittier is an elementary school located in north-central Tulsa, just west of the University of Tulsa campus. The school has been providing students in the area a place to grow and learn for generations. Kendall-Whittier Elementary is a lighthouse to our community. According to the school, “As a Title I school, we don’t require that students bring school supplies at the beginning of the year to respect the limited financial situations of many of our families.”

For the 2016 Subaru School Supply Drive, Ferguson Subaru raised school supplies during the month of August. At the end of the month, our Ferguson team, along with Fergie Bear - our Tulsa-area community mascot - drove a stuffed Subaru Crosstrek to Kendall-Whittier Elementary, and presented teachers with the donations. In the spirit of making a positive impact, Ferguson Subaru also donated $500 to Kendall Whittier Elementary!

Ferguson Subaru’s focus on education in the month of August and September was part of the Subaru Love Promise, a pledge to do right in our communities and the world.

Ferguson Subaru Partners with Guide Dogs For The Blind

Guide Dogs For The Blind is an organization that according to their vision statement, "envisions a world with greater inclusion, opportunity and independence by optimizing the unique capabilities of people and dogs."

The organization was founded shortly after WWII, when the company's founder saw the need for aid to wounded veterans who returned from the war; veterans who were now blind or visually impaired. Through their exceptional breeding, puppy raising and training programs they quickly began to grow, and soon spread Guide Dogs For The Blind branches across the country. One of those branches was Lone Star Guide Dog Raisers.

Lone Star Guide Dog Raisers, based out of Texas, began with only six guide dog puppies and now has 186 dogs in training! The organization is made of volunteers who are all dedicated to raising their dogs and facilitating life-changing opportunities for the visually impaired.

The abilities Lone Star guide dogs possess (especially after their training is complete) is simply amazing. The dogs can detect changes in their owner's blood sugar and alert them well before any harmful symptoms arise; simply by smell. It takes 12 to 14 weeks to fully train their dogs.

During the Subaru Share the Love Event, Ferguson Subaru (and Subaru dealers across the country) donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased. New Subaru owner have a choice for that $250 donation to go to one of six charities. For Ferguson Subaru customers, Lone Stare Guide Dog Raisers is one of those six charities.

Last year, through the Share the Love campaign, Ferguson Subaru helped raise nearly $13,000 for Lone Star Guide Dog Raisers. Sandy Alsworth, Community Field Rep. for Lone Star Guide Dog Raisers, said that money went to transportation needs, breeding and medical equipment.

The Subaru Share The Love fundraising campaign is once again around the corner, and Ferguson Subaru is proud to renounce our renewed partnership with Lone Star Guide Dog Raisers. Several volunteers and "puppies in training" drove up from Texas, to our Broken Arrow Subaru dealer in preparation for the campaign. Ferguson Subaru owner, Jerry Ferguson, presented a check of $6,145 to launch the campaign!

The 2017 Subaru Impreza will be offered in four trim lines: 2.0i base, Premium, Limited, and the new Sport trim line. The 2017 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport takes full advantage of a more powerful engine and the new stiffer platform. The sport trim also takes advantage of an exclusive suspension tuning system that delivers a more fun-to-drive performance.

The 2017 Impreza Sport is set apart by exclusive exterior features and styling.
