SUBARU TAKES TOP HONOR IN 2021 ALG RESIDUAL VALUE AWARDS

Subaru has been named the 2021 Top Mainstream Brand for Residual Value from the ALG Residual Value Awards. ALG, the analytics division of TrueCar Inc., serves as the industry benchmark for forecasting vehicle values and depreciation data. With the latest award, Subaru is a five-time top brand for residual value, having taken home the honor in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and now 2021.

In addition to the Residual Value Award honor, four Subaru models received top recognition in their respective segments.

Subaru has a proven track record when it comes to industry-leading residual values and the brand has shown consumers that their strong vehicle line-up is supported by vehicles that hold their value,” said Eric Lyman, Chief Industry Analyst at ALG. [1]

The ALG Residual Value Awards recognized vehicles in 29 segments predicted to maintain the highest percentage of the Manufacturers’ Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after three years. Alongside vehicle accolades, ALG selected two brands for overall Mainstream and Premium industry sectors. Based on the 2021 model year, selected winners are determined after ALG utilizes a forecast model that looks at various macro, industry, segment, and vehicle factors.

Time and again, car-buyers choose Subaru for the value, reliability, and safety that each vehicle promises. Customers know they can count on Subaru vehicles to last through the seasons of their lives. Winning the Top Brand for Residual Value Award, for a fifth year, is a testament to the love and care Subaru puts into building their cars.

WRX from Baby Driver Film Is Still Being Driven by Baby

2017's action-comedy-crime film, Baby Driver, was a smash success. The National Board of Review chose the movie as one of the top ten films of 2017. [1] The movie is set in Atlanta, Georgia and follows a young, talented driver through a myriad of heists, robberies, and daring car chases. The movie drew special attention from Subaru fans, as the young driver's get-away vehicle of choice was a red WRX.

While it's been confirmed that there will be a sequel to Baby Driver [2], it's not know if the WRX will grace the big screen a second time. However, thanks to Ansel Elgort (the actor who plays baby) and his Twitter feed, we've learned that the Baby Driver WRX is still out there spinning its wheels, utilizing its iconic Subaru performance for some fun-filled stunts.

On January 4th, Ansel posted a video of himself taking his WRX out for some spins, in the snow.

It's no wonder why the directors of Baby Driver chose the Subaru WRX for the film's star get-away vehicle. Subaru WRX STI has assisted the Subaru Rally Team USA to 11 overall rally championships in the United States. Plus, the Subaru WRX is the longest-lasting turbocharged all-wheel drive vehicle in its class. Not to mention, the Subaru WRX has the largest passenger volume among all-wheel drive vehicles in its class.

While we eagerly await the sequel to Baby Driver, discover the joys of the WRX for yourself. Take the Subaru WRX for a test-drive, at Ferguson Subaru. Ferguson Subaru is Oklahoma's number one Subaru volume dealer. We have a huge selection of WRX and WRX STi models to choose from.

2016 Subaru WRX STi and BRZ Series.HyperBlue Edition

Not many states can compete with the natural beauty Oklahoma has to offer. Even the state flag of Oklahoma has its own unmistakable beauty.
Of course, we might be a little biased being Oklahoma's number one Subaru dealer.

One thing we love about the Oklahoma state flag is its instantly recognizable blue background. According to Maps of the World, "The origin of the sky blue color can be traced back to the flag used by the Choctaw soldiers at the time of the Civil War. This color stands for the great virtues of loyalty and fidelity towards the state and its people." [1] The blue on the Oklahoma flag signifies devotion.

If there's one thing you should know about Subaru, it's Subaru's devotion for producing high-quality, attractive sports cars. Their latest special edition models not only demonstrate their love for top-notch sports cars, but are also a surprisingly perfect match for our Oklahoma Subaru customers.

Subaru has revealed the 2016 Series.HyperBlue limited edition Subaru BRZ and Subaru WRX STi models. The limited edition models feature Subaru’s exclusive Hyper Blue exterior paint with matching interior trim.

Doesn't that Hyper Blue paint pop! It matches nicely with the Oklahoma flag!

The 2016 Series.HyperBlue limited edition will be produces exclusively on 2016 Subaru WRX STI and 2016 Subaru BRZ models. Production will be limited to 700 WRX STI and 500 BRZ cars for the United States.

2016 Series.HyperBlue WRX STI
With rally cross in its DNA, the Subaru WRX STi is one of the meanest sports cars on the road. Now in the new 2016 Series.HyperBlue limited edition it's both fierce and stunning. The 2016 Series.HyperBlue trim brings exclusive blue stitching to the leather wrapped steering wheel, standard Alcantara seats, manual transmission shifter boot, console as well as carpeted floor mats with the traditional Cherry Red STI logo. The Series.HyperBlue WRX STI is also equipped with 18" BBS Black Alloy wheels and black badging with black painted exterior mirrors.

2016 Series.HyperBlue BRZ
The Series.HyperBlue BRZ cabin features an exclusive design scheme. The leather and Alcantara upholstery includes Hyper blue leather head restraints and seat bolsters. Blue stitching accents the seats and the blue and black leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as the shift lever boot and leather-wrapped parking brake handle. The blue motif carries to the center console kneepads and door trim, accented by an embroidered silver BRZ logo on the front seatbacks. Carpeted floor mats also pick up the BRZ logo and blue stitching. The exterior continues the Series.HyperBlue theme with 17" black alloy wheels, black glossy badging and painted black finish exterior mirrors.

Subaru Rally & Subaru RallyCross Get Set to for Another Season

2014 brought a milestone of accomplishments to the Subaru Rally and Subaru RallyCross teams. But 2014 has come and past. Now, it's a new year and a new season. But for Subaru it's more than just another start of a new season, it's a chance to showcase what Subaru Motorsports is capable of.

If the Subaru Motorsports team is to repeat another championship, they're going to need a new edge over the competition. Lucky for them the Subaru engineers have cooked up something special. For the 2015 rally season the team will be racing in the new 2015 Subaru WRX STi platform.

Subaru has learned many lessons over the years in the sport of rally. Bit by bit the Subaru engineers have evolved the Subaru WRX STi, the workhorse of Subaru Motorsports. Years of planning and development will culminate in a serious attempt to claim both the Global Rally Cross and Rally championship, and the 2015 Subaru WRX STi is up to the task.

The 2015 Subaru WRX STi gives the Subaru team a decisive edge over the competition. Development of the 2015 Subaru WRX STi began two years ago. It's more nimble, more responsive, and faster than last year's model that gave the Subaru Rally team their championship. Performance improvements are made possible by smarter geometry, a new chassis, and a new wide body kit for the fast gravel stages. The 2015 Subaru WRX STi offers the next big leap forward for Subaru Rally Team USA.

Subaru Rally drivers David Higgins, and Travis Pastrana have high hopes for the new 2015 Subaru WRX STi platform; while Subaru RallyCross drivers, Bucky Lasek and Sverre Isachsen, look to transfer their progress in Global RallyCross with the new WRX STi chassis.

Will the Subaru Rally Team be able to repeat another championship? Follow along with Subaru Motorsports as they fight for position race by race in Subaru's in-depth web series "Launch Control"  - now in it's third season.

Catch the latest episode of Season 3 of Subaru Launch Control
