Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback Win Consecutive Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ Awards

It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant shifts in people's spending habits. That fact is just as true in the automotive industry. As David Wurster, Vincentric President, puts it, "“Many people in the U.S. are being impacted by the current economic uncertainty and are looking to save money by purchasing used vehicles." [1] Here at Ferguson Subaru, serving the Greater Tulsa Metro, we've seen our used car shoppers grow in numbers, since the start of the pandemic.

Mr. Wurster goes on to say, "Consumers looking to buy a certified pre-owned vehicle want to know that their choice will give them the value they need for their money. Our [Vincentric] awards can guide consumers and help them make decisions with confidence, especially with so many brands showing strong CPO value by winning Best CPO Value brand awards on a consistent basis.” [1]

Subaru is one of those brands who have proven their strong CPO value by consistently winning Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ awards. In the 2021 Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ awards, both the Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback have retained their crowns, in their respected segments. For the second consecutive year, the Subaru Legacy received the award in the Mid-Size segment; while the Subaru Outback earned the top spot in the Mid-Size SUV/Crossover segment, for its fourth consecutive year.

Vincentric, LLC is a privately held automotive data compilation and analysis firm headquartered in Bingham Farms, Michigan. Vincentric provides data, knowledge, and insight to the automotive industry by identifying and applying the many aspects of automotive value. [1] To determine the 2021 Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ Award winners, Vincentric conducted a statistical analysis to reveal which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Vincentric analyzed over 15,000 vehicle configurations using eight cost factors: depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. [1]

Lower operating, insurance, and maintenance costs (compared to their respected segment competition) have all been contributing factors in both the Subaru Legacy's and the Subaru Outback's continued success in the Vincentric Best CPO Value in America™ awards.

Consumers looking to purchase a CPO vehicle have added benefits when it comes to Subaru CPO vehicles. Every Certified Pre-Owned Subaru gets a 152-point safety inspection and comes with a factory-backed 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain (from original warranty start date). All the benefits Subaru puts into their CPO package are all there to assure consumers that their vehicles are built to last. In fact, 97% of Subaru vehicles sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today.

Ferguson Subaru has dozen of quality Certified Pre-Owned Subaru models to choose from, including Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Legacy and Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Outback models. Blanket Donation to Youth Services of Tulsa, in Honor of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month

In the United States, many Americans are living on the edge, forced to choose between necessities like purchasing food, paying rent or going to the doctor. 549,000 Americans are homeless on a typical night. Many of these Americans call the streets of Tulsa home.

In a recent Public Radio Tulsa article, written by Matt Trotter, the City of Tulsa's Housing Policy Director, Becky Gligo, is quoted as saying, "our homelessness numbers are continuing to rise — not astronomically, but they’re on the rise." [1] The article goes on to say that the projected number of people who are homeless, in Tulsa, is close to 7,000.

Ferguson Subaru believes in being more than a car dealership. We are dedicated to supporting organizations that help our neighbors and our community members in need. As we head into the season of giving and the nights get colder, we wanted to do our part to provide warmth and solace for those who need our help this winter.

The Ferguson Subaru team delivered several cases of new blankets to Youth Services of Tulsa, on November 13. Youth Services of Tulsa (YST) will distribute those blankets to the teens and young adults who turn to its innovative Street Outreach program for assistance with basic needs and resources to help them exit homelessness.

"Thanks to the generosity of Ferguson Subaru in Tulsa, Oklahoma, dozens of young people experiencing homelessness will receive new blankets to help them through the coming winter months," said YST's Community Relations Coordinator, Brian Young.

Our donations to YST is part of Subaru Of America's bigger Subaru Loves to Help initiative. Through this initiative, Subaru and its participating retailers [including Ferguson Subaru] will donate 50,000 blankets to homeless shelters across the country this November. The donation, which will reach nearly 600 local homeless shelters, is also in recognition of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month.
