Ferguson Subaru at the Tulsa Women's Expo

Tulsa would not be the city it is today without the contributions of strong women in the community. There's been a longstanding presence of empowering women in Tulsa who have shaped and developed Oklahoma’s second largest city. Tulsa Historical Society & Museum notes the importance of women have played in Tulsa's history noting, "In those first few decades of Tulsa, women established schools, cultural organizations, and civic groups that changed the landscape of Tulsa both then and now." [1]

Today, Tulsa offers many opportunities for women. There are many great career opportunities in Tulsa; in fact many businesses in Tulsa were founded by women. The city also hosts a number of events dedicated specifically for women. One of those events is the annual Tulsa Women’s Living Expo.

The Tulsa Women's Living Expo is all about community and connection. The goal of the Tulsa Women's Expo is to enrich the lives of today's women and their families. To show our support and gratitude for the women in our community, Ferguson Subaru was pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s Tulsa Women’s Expo. We have several wonderful ladies on the Ferguson Subaru Team. Two of those stellar team-members include Nancy Erickson and Hannah Chaboya. Nancy and Hannah were at the Ferguson Subaru booth during this year’s Tulsa Women’s Expo.

Located next to the Pure Romance Love Your Lifestyle Stage, our Subaru booth featured two new Subaru models, the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid, and the 2015 Subaru Forester. Ferguson Subaru was honored to sponsor Tony Dovolani’s appearance at the Tulsa Women’s Expo. Fans of the show might recognize Tony from his dancing skills. He’s starred in nearly 20 season of the ABC hit show. Ferguson Subaru was proud to be able to help bring Tony to Green Country and the great city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Of course, our team members had to meet him.

Ferguson is continuing to support women in our community after the Tulsa Women’s Expo.

One organization in our community founded by a strong Tulsa lady is the cancer fighting organization known as Turn Tulsa Pink. According to the Turn Tulsa Pink website the mission of Turn Tulsa Pink is as follows, “To bring to light the local grassroots charities that provide services and support to all people affected by cancer in our communities. We Believe Charity Begins at Home.” [2]

Judi Grove created Turn Tulsa Pink in 2011. Ferguson as partnered with Judi and Turn Tulsa Pink to help raise donations that benefit cancer patients in our community. During the Turn Ferguson Pink Event, Ferguson Buick GMC will donate $200 for every new vehicle sold until February 28th.
