Tulsa SPCA and Ferguson Subaru Team Up for "Subaru Loves Pets"

Through the Subaru Loves Pets Initiative, this October we are partnering with the Tulsa SPCA to provide pet supplies and starter kits for new pet adopting families that will keep animals happy, healthy, and ready for a safe and loving home.

Ferguson Subaru has partnered with the Tulsa SPCA to provide pet supplies and starter kits for new pet adopting families that will keep animals happy, healthy, and ready for a safe and loving home.

Join Ferguson Subaru and the Tulsa SPCA on Saturday, Oct. 14th, from 11am to 3pm! Tulsa SPCA will be out-front of our store with their M-A-C (mobile adoption center) truck and dozens of homeless animals looking for their furever home!

If you're unable to join us on October 14, but would still like to help local shelter pets, you can still help! Below is a list of ways you can get involved. As a token of our appreciation for your support, help yourself to a stuffed Crosstrek pet toy and Subaru Loves Pets bandanna for your best furry friend.

1. Donate a pet supply item that will be delivered to the Tulsa SPCA.

Here's a list of supplies that can help the Tulsa SPCA:
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Treats
  • Small dog/cat toys
  • Food bowls
  • Grooming supplies
  • Towels and blankets
  • Collars
  • Food (dry and/or canned) 3. Sign up to volunteer with our local animal organization on the volunteer sign-up sheet.

2. Take a picture with our Subaru Loves Pets photo frame and share on your social account to help raise awareness around animal welfare. Don't forget to use #SubaruLovesPets!

2018 WRX & 2018 Crosstrek Earn IIHS 2017 Top Safety Pick+ Award

The 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek, when equipped with optional EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, have received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award. Both the 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek also received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), when equipped with both EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights.

The 2018 WRX and 2018 Crosstrek received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award by achieving the highest possible rating of “Good” in the IIHS crashworthiness evaluations of rear impact, roof crush, side impact, front moderate overlap, and front small overlap, as well as EyeSight receiving a “Superior” rating in the Institute’s front crash prevention testing.

These safety accolades prove Subaru's committed to developing vehicles with the highest safety standards. The Subaru WRX has earned an IIHS Top Safety pick for three years running (2015-2017), while the Subaru Crosstrek is an IIHS Top Safety Pick for six years running (2012-2017).

All 2018 Subaru models with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights have now received the highest possible 2017 safety rating from IIHS. The WRX and Crosstrek join the Outback, Legacy, Impreza, and Forester to have earned the prestigious safety award.
